haha maart, maartensdijk. we spelen er weer, op zaterdag 4 april deze keer, in de finale, showtje als nooit tevoren denk ik zo.

Februari 16th Belangrijk bericht
Het bericht van 6 februari slaat eigenlijk nergens op; we spelen zaterdag ons laatste optreden als complete band. Het optreden in Maartensdijk werd helaas weer geannuleerd met als gevolg dat we geen goed afscheidsoptreden konden geven. Aangezien Geert Jan een waardig afscheid verdient zullen wij met hem voor de laatste keer de zaal platspelen. We hebben er heel veel zin in en het is dan ook van groot belang dat zoveel mogelijk mensen komen feesten. Ook zal Geert Jan van iedereen een afscheidskus in ontvangst nemen (dat wil niemand missen natuurlijk). Dus, aanstaande zaterdag hopen we jullie te zien in de Bilt (W4) waar we met 3Faction zullen spelen. Oja, neem zoveel mogelijk mensen mee!

Februari 6th
Wow, it’s been a while! I don’t actually know where to start because we’re in a weird situation at the moment. I guess there’s no other way than saying it out loud.. We are siked to play in Maartensdijk tonight, but this also means we will play our last show with our frontman Geert Jan. Don’t worry, everything’s cool, he’s going to the states for a few months. The band will continue playing, more information about this will follow. So anyway come down tonight and let’s trash the place up!

November 26th
We are sorry to announce that our gig in Maartensdijk on saturday november 28th is cancelled. On a lighter note..

September 15th 2009 Updates updates updates!
It feels like we haven’t been here for ages! We have some good news and updates though; we are back! We’ve been quiet for a few months, writing new songs, playing old songs, etc. We are very excited to get up on that stage again and play you some new tunes. Dates are below.

June 6th 2009 Grote prijs van het Groen Hart
Ik ben het even zat om berichtjes in het Engels te schrijven en voor de Grote prijs van het Groene Hart maakt dat ookt niet veel uit (the great prize of the green heart)! We hebben namelijk de publieksprijs gewonnen en daar willen we jullie ons veelal Nederlandstalige publiek voor bedanken! Iedereen bedankt en tot onze volgende gigs!

June 5th 2009 Stuck in a day compilation
We are proud to present that we have been asked by the infamous Bram de Wijs from the Stuck in a Day label to send in a song for his compilation CD: Planet Heartbreak 3. We decided on sending in Lily-Ann because of its lyrics and because its our most poppy song, which is always nice for the sensitive kids that usually listen to Stuck in Day bands . You can buy the cd in their webshop and there will be a releaseparty tomorrow (the 6th of June) in Amersfoort at the Parade for all you Dutchies!

May 29th 2009 Many many thanks!
Many thanks to all of you who came and partied with us at Tivoli de Helling. It was an amazing experience for us! Great gig, great sound and great atmosphere thanks to you, guys! Backstage with Go Back to the Zoo was funny as hell as well! Hope to see you all again at such a great gig! We had a great time!

May 10th 2009 Tivoli de Helling
Pretty big news (well, for as far as we are concerned anyway): the 28th of May we play Tivoli de Helling! Tivoli de Helling is a place where we have seen some of our favourite bands and partied many nights! So please come and party with us this time! There will be 4 bands playing (Go Back to the Zoo, the Pleasure Principle and Handsome Poets will play as well) and a DJ set, so this evening has all the ingredients for a great for rock ‘n’ roll night! Tickets are 7,50 euros and you can buy them online at the Tivoli site or send us an e-mail at people@commonpeople.nl.

May 3rd 2009 Wilhelminapark Utrecht gig confirmed
Yay our first outdoor gig has been confirmed! Finally we can wear shades on stage! Come join us at the party the 15th of May in the Wilhelminapark in Utrecht! Cheers!
